Breathe!

More snow.  Again.  Spring is here.  At least that is what the calendar reads.  But Mother Nature has had other plans.  My coat rack is loaded with jackets for use if 30 degrees out, to in the 60's.   My only recourse, is to Breath...deeply.

Increasing caloric intake to 1500 without sugars and starches has been a challenge.  I found it 'easy' to do the Very Low Calorie Diet.  That phase seemed to go by fast.  Maybe because I was learning something new; the diet, the HCG drops, learning to blog and create a web site.  Perhaps the sense of accomplishment  felt when I measured and weighed myself made that part of my trip seem 'joyful'.  The Stabilizing phase has been...blah.

My weight continues to fluctuate between 148-149 lbs while eating more.  Excellent,  What keeps me in check is knowing that this 3 week period, though for me it is not as exciting,  is very important to help maintain my 'NEW' body weight.  It is allowings my diencephalon to adjust to the 'New' weight and fat by stabilizing my improved metabolism. A critical part of the protocol.  After all, I am in it for the long term effects.

Speaking to others, who have gone through this phase before me, they have enjoyed it.  The difference seems to be, they have a traveling companion; a spouse.

But, I am anxious.  So close to goal weight...130-135, yet so far.  (silly me)  I've  committed to following Dr. Simeon's protocol.  Speeding is a no-no.  Breathing deeply.  Diaphramatic breathing calms me.  Eases the chatter in my mind that says 'that little potatoe won't hurt you'.  It probably wouldn't, but my word is my word.

Ten more days and that little spud is...Mine.
